Jockey Scrub Review

So I was asked about a month ago if I wanted to do a review on Jockey's new line of spring scrubs and after several emails back and forth, we were able to get something that I could wear to work. Since I work at a specialty hospital, they require that we wear black pants and either black or red tops. Jockey was very willing to help me out.

Let me just tell you that I actually started wearing Jockey scrub pants at the beginning of the year and I love them. This particular set is no exception. In fact, I make sure they are washed so that I can wear them every week! :) I have been able to wear this set of scrubs a couple of times and let me tell you that they have to be the most comfortable things I own. The fabric is soft, flexible, and stretchy. I don't feel confined. I love the top because I have wide hips. The top actually fit through the hips, but also fit correctly at my shoulders. I was amazed!

I will tell you that I was given the set of scrubs and if I have my way, I will be purchasing another set or two of this style.

I was also asked to promote Jockey's latest contest. They just lauched the Comfort Guarantee Promotion on their Facebook page. Now through May 22, you can submit an essay 100 words or less explaining how your current scrubs don't keep you comfortable for a chance to wind a pair of free Comfort Guaranteed Jockey Scrubs. Let me tell you, it's worth the essay! :)

I know this wasn't my normal type of post, but I was happy to do it! I hope you enjoy my review!

Oops! :)

So, it's been awhile since I posted. I really didn't mean for it to be this long. Life has been crazy, as I'm sure it has for you as well! I have changed positions and am loving clinic life. I'm getting used to the 5 day weeks.

Lots is going on. We just had a great night with the entire family going to a Texas Rangers game. We had a blast and are looking forward to our next game. I hope this post finds all of you well! Thanks for reading...cj

So much excitement . . .

So, a lot has been going on in the Gibbs' household lately. I think I mentioned that Kevin got his promotion at work and he is doing such a good job! It has included a lot of changes at home, but we are stumbling through those. I also found out that I received the job I applied for at the heart failure clinic. I'm very excited about this opportunity. I truly believe this will be a positive change for our relationship and am looking forward to the changes coming my way.

I had a great friend visit this weekend. It was so good to see her and we enjoyed our time together just visiting and generally goofing off. I haven't had a weekend like this one in a long time and I look forward to the next one that's just as relaxing!

Not much else is going on right now, just getting my mind ready for all the changes that are on the horizon...until next time...cjg

All Thawed Out

So, the ice storm was miserable, but we have thawed out and I am currently enjoying a 70 degree day with the house open and airing out!

I have been so busy with work and projects at work that I hardly have time for projects at home. We had some plumbing issues, but since we rent, our landlord got to take care of it! They had to tear out over 12 feet of rotted plumbing and soon our house will be back to normal. I have been able to start crocheting again. I'm currently working on a baby blanket for a co-worker and am glad to be crocheting again! :) It really relaxes me.

I think I mentioned that I have applied for another job. I had my first interview on a snow day and finally got my second one rescheduled for next Wednesday. I hope to know something by the end of next week. Also, Kevin received the promotion he was hoping for with the company he works with. This is his first full week working 8 hour days since all his surgeries and illnesses. He is adjusting well. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we wait to hear about my job. It will really be good for us to be on the same schedule!

That's all for now! Thanks for reading....until next time, cjg

Lots and lots of ice

It has been sooooo incredibly cold here since Monday that I really don't know what to do. We had our big storm come through late Monday night/early Tuesday morning. There was about an inch of ice over everything. I'm so grateful for the garage because I don't think the car would have moved otherwise. Kevin had to drop me off at work on Tuesday morning. We left here at 0600 and made it there by 0630...with time to spare. The roads are ridiculously slippery, but thankfully we haven't had an accident. We have been able to avoid going out mostly ~ except to get to work for me. As a nurse, I am expected to be there no matter what the weather. Today was my last day at work this week and we are supposed to get snow overnight. Snow on top of ice is never a good thing. I'm so glad I don't have to work until Tuesday. I was supposed to go the doctor for a check-up tomorrow, but that appointment has been canceled.

I had my phone interview for the job I applied for! I'm so excited about the opportunity to possibly work at this clinic. Hopefully I'll have my face to face interview sometime next week and know something not too long after that.

I continue to stay busy with work and home life. Beasley is as spoiled as ever, though he does go through stages where he has to be bad and punished for a few days. He's back to sleeping in the bed with us in no time!

That's my update for now. Hope everyone is staying safe and warm! Til next time.... :)

Change is in the air

So today was a great day! Kevin accepted a full-time position with the company he has been working with for awhile. He also had an interview at Wal-Mart and after the offer came for this other job, he decided to turn down the job at Wal-Mart. I also applied for a new job today. I will still be with the same company, but it is a clinic job working with heart failure patients. It still is not open, so I would be part of something new and amazing! I hope it's not too long before I hear something because the suspense will kill me. While it was a difficult decision to make, it is time to move on. I have been on the same unit for 3 years and am ready to give myself a new challenge. If I do get this position, I will be working 5 days a week/8 hour days. That will be a big adjustment after working 12 hour shifts for so long, but I think it will be a good change. Not much else is going on right now (does there really need to be much else?). I will update again soon! Hope all is well with you, my readers! I do cherish your comments and hope that I wasn't gone so long that some of you gave up on me! Until next time. . .
